Yoga fot Grief & Loss
In grief, along with overwhelming sadness, we may feel lost, angry and even
confused. Yoga offers us a way to create a
safe space to process the emotions that
come when we endure an unbearable loss.
In this safe space, we can choose to tell our
stories. To confide with others who have
similar stories and know we are not alone
in our journey. This sacred practice,
composed of love and compassion, helps
us move toward the duality of living and
grieving at the same time.

Structural Integration
Lymphatic Drainage
Brain Therapy Technique
Structural Integration is a body therapy which focuses on the fascia, also called the connective tissue. This fascia surrounds the muscles, bones and organs in the body and gives the muscles of the body their shape. It aligns and balances the body, allowing muscles to move more effectively.
Structural Integration is performed in 10 sessions which are approximately 75 minutes in length. Each session focuses in on a particular part of the body and builds upon the previous session.
Lymphatic Drainage is a light hands on technique designed to sustain proper functioning of the human fluid system. It activates the lymphatic system and assists in circulation of body fluids. It promotes a state of relaxation and balance with the autonomic nervous system. It is ideal for post surgery swelling as well as improving overall well being.
Benefits include:
*Detoxification
*Promotes Relaxation
*Reduce Inflammation
*Reduces Pain (By alleviating tissue fluid stagnation)
Sessions last 75 minutes
Connective Tissue Massage
Connective Tissue Massge is a dynamic solution to pain relief. It works by releasing restrictions in your body more effectively and efficiently. Contact is broad, slow and intentional. It can restore length and flexibility throughout the muscular system. Sessions last 60 minutes and no oils or lotions are used.
Studies show that light touch massage of the head and scalp can affect the brain by triggering the nervous system, releasing chemicals and improving blood flow, even though the practitioner’s hands do not directly touch brain tissue. The scalp has many sensory nerve endings and the light touch sends calming signals through these nerves to the brainstem and central nervous system, shifting the body from a stress state into a more relaxed state. This in turn can reduce stress, release tension and improve sleep quality. Our glymphatic system is a pathway that clears waste from the brain while we sleep. Just like our lymphatic system, it uses fluid to wash away anything that the brain doesn't need. Research indicates that our glymphatic system works best during deep sleep. During this deep sleep, the cerebral spinal fluid and glymphatic vessels work more efficiently in fluid exchange and removing waste. Maintaining and caring for the glymphatic system includes, but not limited to, physical activity during the day, getting the appropriate amount of sleep, building better sleep habits and managing stress. Sessions include opening up the body with lymphatic drainage and leading into gentle, noninvasive hands on the scalp, offering a holistic approach in helping the nervous system become more dynamic. Sessions last 60 minutes.
